The Muslim Leadership Foundation UK is dedicated to cultivating a dynamic community of empowered Muslim leaders across the UK.

“MLF UK was established in 2016 by a group of young Muslim activists deeply involved in the student movement. We had a simple yet powerful mission: to cultivate the next generation of Muslim leaders in the UK. Inspired by the dedication of those who came before us, we were determined to carry on this legacy, ensuring the safety and success of our community.”

Our Vision

To create a thriving community of empowered Muslim leaders in the UK who embody Islamic values and principles in their leadership, driving positive change across sectors and contributing to the betterment of society as a whole.

Our Mission

Empower and develop young Muslim professionals and students in the UK to become effective leaders with a purpose, grounded in Islamic principles, who contribute positively to wider society.

Our 2025 Strategic Aims

Provide a comprehensive program of events fostering social, soft, and hard skill development.
Deliver a long-term development pathway for individuals to become purpose-driven leaders.
Establish a network connecting young Muslim professionals and students.
Offer a journey encompassing networking events, knowledge enrichment through a book & film clubs, and skill enhancement via training events. Culminate in individuals demonstrating values-based leadership and contributing back to society.

We put our purpose above our egos. We strive to be self-aware, listen and learn with humility, and be mindful that we do not have all the answers.

We believe transparency is key in order to build trust and achieve a positive working environment. This will be achieved in all aspects of decision making whether this be consensus building or challenging of assumptions to ensure sustained and long term change is achieved.

We highlight the causes of inequity our future leaders care about and support them to gain the skills and social capital to challenge these inequities.

We prioritise people over process, shape our ideas with those who are impacted by our initiatives and make ourselves accessible to all.

We hold the conviction that diversity of background and experiences drives diversity in thought therefore will be key in ensuring innovative solutions will be found
